BRET MOORE

After graduating from Auburn University, Bret started working in 1999 as a geologist, eventually working in both the geotechnical and environmental consulting fields. A chance encounter with a biologist-turned-lawyer on a job site in 2004 led to a career change, and after graduating from Georgia State University College of Law in December 2007 (one semester early), Bret took the February 2008 bar exam, passed, and began working for a large insurance company’s broker-dealer litigation department.

After a few years—and after graduating from the Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy in 2011—Bret opened his own firm representing plaintiffs in personal injury and professional liability matters.

Over his career he has handled many kinds of matters and has developed significant experience litigating cases through jury trials—including a $1,000,000 jury verdict recently in DeKalb County State Court. Bret also handles appeals in state and federal courts in Georgia and is admitted to practice law in the US Supreme Court and his home state of Alabama. Bret and his family call DeKalb County home.
